Exhibition "Portugal Pavilion – OceanScapes" in Tokyo
To mark the opening of Expo 2025 Osaka, the Camões – Portuguese Cultural Centre in Tokyo, in partnership with Kengo Kuma & Associates, presents the exhibition "Portugal Pavilion – OceanScapes", on display at the Embassy of Portugal in Tokyo from 1 to 18 April 2025.
This exhibition offers visitors a behind-the-scenes look at the construction of the Portugal Pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka, unveiling the unique architectural vision of Kengo Kuma. Inspired by the fluidity and movement of the ocean, the architect designed an undulating façade that reflects Portugal’s deep maritime heritage.

The exhibition features photographs, technical drawings and detailed models illustrating the evolution of the project, as well as samples of the materials used, design elements and pieces of furniture that will be part of the pavilion’s interior.
A unique opportunity to experience first-hand the concept and aesthetics of the Portugal Pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka. Free entry.
