AIDA CCI — Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Aveiro District will be present at the Portugal Pavilion, Expo 2025 Osaka, from September 1 to 3, to promote internationally the strategic project "Aveiro 5.0 Export." This initiative highlights the district's industrial ecosystem as an advanced, innovative, and sustainable technology hub.
The exhibition showcases the competitiveness of key regional sectors such as metalworking, microelectronics, habitat-related industries, and the blue economy through videos, images, and displayed objects. The project strengthens the "Aveiro 5.0" brand as a driver to attract investment and create new business opportunities, with a special focus on the Japanese market.
The AIDA CCI's participation also includes presenting a video that values salt as both historical heritage and a living resource, emphasising its role in industrial development and quality of life within sustainable and ecological tourism.

The central exhibition module, shaped like a moliceiro (traditional Aveiro boat), combines images of the territory and its productive sectors, symbolically linking industry and leisure. The Aveiro district, renowned for tourism and industrial traditions — from cork and ceramics to metalworking and the growing microelectronics and semiconductor industries — underscores innovation as a value that enriches its history.
Aligned with the Portugal Pavilion at Expo 2025 theme, "Ocean, the Blue Dialogue," AIDA CCI's proposal promotes value chains where the Blue Economy plays a central role, reinforcing the "Ocean" component. At the same time, its focus on fostering collaborative dialogue between companies and international partners embodies the spirit of the "Blue Dialogue," positioning Aveiro as a strategic partner in building a sustainable future.
