From 14 to 17 August, the Autonomous Region of the Azores (Portugal) will be represented at the Portugal Pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka with the installation “Entre Corações” (Between Hearts). This symbolic initiative celebrates the meeting of two archipelagos – the Azores and Japan – through an immersive experience combining sound, image, craft and flavours.
At the heart of the installation is the Viola da Terra, a traditional Azorean string instrument shaped like a heart, which inspires the project concept and symbolises the emotional connection between cultures.
