NOVA University Lisbon joins the Portugal Pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka, reinforcing its role as a leading higher education institution that combines teaching, research and innovation with sustainable and social impact. NOVA will be at Expo Osaka from 26 to 28 July.
The projects NOVA will present tackle global challenges through innovative and sustainable solutions, aligned with the central theme of the Portugal Pavilion – Ocean, the Blue Dialogue – as well as new technologies and global health.

Visitors can enjoy immersive experiences, such as virtual reality visits to Portuguese heritage sites and interaction with the Smart Cities platform developed by NOVA IMS.
This is a unique opportunity to showcase NOVA’s academic programmes, share the experiences of Japanese students in Portugal, and promote Portuguese rock music with a set by DJ Silvia Lopes, also a NOVA student.
