From 15 to 17 April, the Portugal Pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka will host an exhibition dedicated to cork, organised by CorksRibas (Portugal) and TOA Cork (Japan), suppliers of the Ocean Made space and VIP lounge.
With a 40-year partnership, these companies highlight cork as a natural and sustainable raw material, showcasing its applications and environmental benefits.
The exhibition will feature looped projections on the extraction and transformation process of cork, as well as display modules with images of cork oak trees, harvesting moments, and final products – from bottle stoppers to coverings and fashion accessories. Visitors will also have the chance to see a cork trunk and learn more about this unique material.
The presence at the Ocean Made space will focus on two key aspects:
• Cork sustainability – An eco-friendly material with a low environmental impact and a sustainable life cycle that helps preserve Mediterranean ecosystems.
• Cork applications – From the traditional bottle stopper to innovative solutions in construction, furniture, fashion, and even healthcare and well-being.
An opportunity to explore cork’s potential and its role in building a more sustainable future.
